This a one-day event that takes place in the old post office in the center of Branford. I will post more details when I have them but please put it in your calendar.
Erector Square is located on Peck Street in New Haven. This event is organized by the artists themselves. I will have a large number of functional pieces, mostly new, in my display in the foyer of building 2. I hope to have the pleasure of seeing you there.

This is the holiday show and sale organized by the Guilford Art Center, just North of 95 at the route 77 exit. Many artisans in all media participate. Try to go take a look.
I don’t have a lot of details yet as to where I will be in this enormous building. I will have some pottery and other things depending on the space I am given to use.
I have been part of this event for at least 7 or 8 years. All kinds of high quality crafts are represented. This is part of the Guilford Art Center located on route 77 just north of 95.
Located on Peck street in the Fair Haven area of town, this event attracts crowds. I will have my own display area in building 8, second floor, with mostly pottery and some surprises.
This event takes place on the Madison Green, 10 to 5 on Saturday and 12 to 5 on Sunday. I will be with my pottery in one of the big tents.
A three day show. I will have my own booth to show my pottery. The event takes place in the orchard behind Steak Loft on Coogan blvd off exit 90 of 95. 10 to 6, 10 to 6 and 10 to 5.

This is the second part of the hand building workshop. Participants will glaze the work created on March 10.
This intensive will consist of two sessions of 4 hours and 2 hours respectively. It will be held at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook: www.spectrumartgallery.org
The first session, 4 hours, will concentrate on hand building techniques. I will demonstrate how to make a carved slab platter, a small pinch bowl or a coil vessel as time allows. I will fire the pieces and bring them to the second session for participants to work on glazing techniques during the second, 2 hour, session.
Participants can arrange to pick up fired work 3 weeks after the second session.

Times: March 10 (12:30-4:30pm) and March 31 (2-4pm)
Cost: - $200 plus $30 material fee paid to the instructor; Members save $20

This class will meet on Monday nights from 6 to 8 pm. November 5, 12 and 19 will be devoted to hand build a vessel, then carve and decorate it using various methods. On December 3rd glazing will take place. Finished and fired work will be picked up on December 10 in time for the holidays.

The Open Studios alternative space this year will take place at the Yale West Campus in Orange, CT. I hear that it is a wonderful space to display in. I am looking for it to house my pottery for three days.

This is the first of two weekends that I will do this year as part of the Open Studios in New Haven. I will be in building 8, second floor. The entire former Erector Set factory is filled with artists' studios. I will be sharing a large space with other artists who are renting a space for the weekend.

This is the kick off of a month of open studios around the city. All the artists involved in the different weekends of the festival have a piece in this show. This event is very well attended. Like everyone else I will have a piece displayed.

I will do a demonstration of hand building in clay. I will show how to make a platter and incised, texture and carve it. Depending on the time available I will also show other hand building techniques.
